I love my library...I really do
Except for when they renew all the books that I have out that didn't need renewing. What does that mean? Well it means that instead of having 10 books due back by 2 September I now have 27 due back!
She was chatting away to me and then said, oh I have renewed all of your books and I gasped and said Oh no! Unfortunately there was no way to cancel it once it was done!
There is no way known that I am going to get through all of those, especially given that I have intentions of watching lots and lots of Olympics action.

I'm not sure I understand what happened. Was the due date moved up to an earlier date than had previously been assigned on some of them? And can't you just re-renew them? At my library (I still think of my library as the one in Pemberville, Ohio), I could renew a book as many times as I wanted as long as no one had reserved the title.
ReplyDeleteYes, the renewal date is now earlier than it was. At my library you can renew things up to 3 times, and so there were some that I still had one renewal left on it that I now don't have any renewal on, and even books that I only borrowed on Saturday last week have now used one renewal up.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I just can't seem to get into the summer Olympics. I'm a winter Olympics gal. Probably because winter is longer than summer here in Canada (or at least it feels like it...). ;)
ReplyDeleteThat's probably why I don't get into the Winter Olympics very much - we just don't get snow and so those winter sports aren't part of the lifestyle here.
