I want to give a big shout out, and thank you, to Nicchic from Obsessed with Books (my kind of girl with a blog title like that) who has given me the following award:
Another award, this time from Susan at You Can Never Have Too Many Books (another truth if ever I heard one!). Susan has been convinced that she needs to not only watch North and South, but own it as well! We love it when we share the North and South love!
And a belated thank you to Alaine from Queen of Happy Endings who bestowed this award on me. Well actually, she said it was to Marg from Historical Tapestry, but I figure seeing as this is me and it was to me, it can be posted here!
Speaking of Historical Tapestry, it's a big week over there this week! On the weekend we had a guest post from Anna Elliott whose debut novel Twilight of Avalon is released today. On Monday we had a guest post from CW Gortner, author of the excellent The Last Queen, and on Friday we have a guest post from Christine Blevins, author of The Tory Widow, and there is going to be a giveaway as well!
Congrats on your well deserved awards Marg :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on all the awards Marg. Yes this blog is good too LOL. Thanks for posting it.
ReplyDeletecongrats on your awards!
ReplyDeletecongratulations. i love your blog too!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I would do Richard justice in a review...how to explain his amazing, wrenching performance as Thornton...but I certainly loved the movie! I was even tempted to buy Robin Hood. I had it in my hand in Best Buy but I wanted to keep the image of Richard as he was in North & South. I passed it along to my Mom to watch too. :)
ReplyDeleteNooo! Nicchic, don't just stop at North and South. At the very least try and get hold of the Vicar of Dibley episodes that he is in, or watch them on Youtube. So gorgeous and funny!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the congratulations everyone!
Marg I don't know whether you are a bad influence or a good influence! I can't resist gorgeous and funny. I'll be checking out the Vicar of Dibley episodes but I need to save up first. I think you would like An Ideal Husband but I'm sure you have probably already watched it...
ReplyDeleteCongrat Marg! You deserve them all!
ReplyDeleteThanks Teddy.
ReplyDeleteNicchic, I haven't watched An Ideal Husband. Who is in that, and what is it about?
Based on the play by Oscar Wilde...Cate Blanchett, Minnie Driver, Rupert Everett and Jeremy Northham. Very funny. Victorian intrigue, mixups and romantic comedy. I can watch it over and over.
