Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Two weeks ago I said something about having read a few YA books recently, and that continues to be true. In fact, with starting City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare today I have just started my fifth YA book in the last month, and I still have a couple out from the library to read in the next few weeks!
My teaser comes from page 144 (which is coincidentally where I am up to. Who knew that having a bookmark in a page would help the book open at that page!)
"Underground?" said Simon worriedly. "Nobody said anything about underground."
I will be interested in your review - have been watching this one - still not convinced I'll enjoy it. I like your tease.

You know, I've been on a similar kick which I NEVER thought I'd say. On that note, I really should check this series out.
ReplyDeleteI too am loving YA at the moment, not sure about this one though??
ReplyDeleteHere's my Teaser
Underground would worry me too! Good teaser.

The dialogue in Clare's books is quite funny (and realistic, I think). Hope you enjoy your reading.
ReplyDelete(By the way, I just heard that they've optioned a fourth book in this series, City of Fallen Angels, to be told from Simon's POV.)
My YA has been hit or miss lately. Oh well, here's my teaser
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm not a big fan of underground myself!
ReplyDeleteYet another book to add to my tbr list! You can find my teaser here.
ReplyDeleteHmm.... wonder what is underground!
ReplyDeleteI just bought the three books in this series for my kids, and my daughter is loving them. She says they are better than the Twilight series for her, which is saying a lot! I will have to give them a try myself when the kids get done.
ReplyDeleteWhy they gotta go underground? What's down there?
ReplyDeleteGood teaser!
HA! Love that teaser. Maybe it's a cruel streak in me, but I like when characters discover something that makes them nervous...
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by my blog!
I've seen a lot of ads and chatter about this book. I'm thinking about picking it up sometime in the future.
