Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:Grab your current read Open to a random page Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This week my teaser comes from Mariana by Susanna Kearsley. I loved The Winter Sea when I read it earlier this year, and so it is no surprise that I am reading another book by this author! The teaser comes from page 118:
I had not chosen this house, as others choose, with a free and rational mind; the house had chosen me. And if I had indeed been drawn here for a purpose, then I had better do my best to find out what that purpose was, starting today. Starting now.
Sounds very mysterious :-)

ReplyDeleteTeddyree, I loved, loved, loved The Winter Sea by this author, so I would recommend starting there. It is also published under the name Sophia's Secret in some places.
Kaye, I have the second Mercy Thompson book here to read. I read the first one, expecting to be blown away by it, but really wasn't, so now I am a bit apprehensive about trying the next one. So many people I know love her books though.
