Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Why is it so hard to find a teaser some times. I had to flick through quite a few pages of Graceling by Kristin Cashore before I found something that was suitable. Even then, I am going to actually use four sentences instead of two. This teaser comes from page 102:
She had trusted him. She had trusted him, and she should not have. He had misrepresented himself, misrepesented his Grace. And that was the same as if he'd lied.
Looks interesting :) I looked it up - may check it out

Dusk was deepening toward another dark summer night and the chilly mountain air felt like frigid fingers running down their spines.
A near-full moon began to peak through the majestic mountain pines that dominate the western slope of the California Sierra Nevada mountain range, adding to what was already an eerie atmosphere.
“It was seven years ago today,” Ryan growled, his voice breaking the silence on this starless night, June 13, 1995. “The car radio said severe thunderstorms were threatening to hit the Sierras, but the Jacksons were set on going on their annual family vacation to Shaver Creek.”
