Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva and myself that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
A few weeks ago I mentioned that I had a book still on my library list that I was sure I had returned. Things came to a head last week when it couldn't be extended any further. If the librarian hadn't been busy I would have actually gone through the process of declaring the book lost as I had checked the car, checked the shelf where I keep my library books and checked everywhere. I said that I would do it next time, so came home, and promptly found the book on the floor near my shelf! Apparently I had a boy look!
Here is the loot I borrowed from the library this week
Serpent in the Thorns by Jeri Westerson - I read the first book in this series a while ago, and never thought to check if my library had the second one until the other day.
Emma Vol 4 by Kaoru Mori - I posted about the first three volumes earlier this week, and I am pleased to get hold of this next book in the series.
Twilight: the graphic novel by Stephenie Meyer/Kim Young - why not. Just to have a look at really.
What loot did you get out from the library this week? Leave your link in Mr Linky below so we can all stop by and have a look!
There's a Twilight graphic novel now?! Interesting...
ReplyDeleteYep. And a novella too apparently.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine just bought the Twilight graphic novel for my daughter, but she hasn't read it yet. I do hope you enjoy all your new books, and I can't wait to hear about Emma!
ReplyDeleteoof, the thought of losing a library book gives me a terrible feeling, glad it worked out! enjoy your loot :)
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower to your blog, and I love it!! I have quite a addiction to books and reading, its quite a passion of mine!!! Looking forward to reading more from ya!!! I really like this Library Loot Meme, sounds fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
Doh! I've done that too. I think it was in my bag for a month before I found it.
ReplyDeleteit would be interesting to see an artists conception of the Twilight settings and characters. I've yet to read the series tho my niece has all but begged me to and even loaned me her set. I've had them since Thanksgiving. I think they'd have stood a better chance if I'd got them from the library. :0
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read the Twilight novels so I need to read them before the graphic novel, I think. I'm so behind the times!
ReplyDeleteSerpent in the Thorns sounds intriguing, and I like the artwork on the Twilight graphic novel.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you found your book. It is such a pain losing a library book!
ReplyDeleteI'm fascinated by the Emma books - never seen them before. Glad you found your lost book1
ReplyDeleteIntrigued by your picks, I haven't read either Emma or Serpent in Thorns but they sound interesting!!! Here is my Library Loot
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!!! Hope you are having a fun filled week!!!
It was a good library week all the way around!
ReplyDeleteOh, you lucky chick. My library doesn't carry graphic novels -- and, in fact, has a pretty awful YA section. Have fun reading!
ReplyDeleteI'm not one for manga but your books look good. Enjoy your reading!
ReplyDeleteI've got both of those Westerson books on my list at the library. Enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteI put Veil of Lies on my list after looking up the Serpent in the Thorns. Not helping me trying to limit my library pile, but thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt´s quite fascinating that after turning good books into films and musicals etc, they now adapt everything to graphic novel :) Hope you enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteHeh, I didn't know Twilight would be turned into a graphic novel, although I guess it was to be expected.
ReplyDeleteHi Marg,
ReplyDeleteI am a new book blogger and have just started participating in the Library Loot meme as I read a lot of books from the library... I have added my URL to your Linky

That Twilight cover looks so stylish; I might check it out (and I'm not even a Twilight fan). Happy reading!
