Teaser Tuesday: Shadow of the King by Helen Hollick

This week my teaser is coming from Shadow of the King by Helen Hollick, which is the third and final book in the Pendragon's Banner trilogy about King Arthur, he of the knights of the round table fame.

I actually finished this book today, and these two teasers comes from very near to the end of the book, but seemed like good teasers as soon as I read the passage.

As long as there is someone willing to tell the story and another eager to listen, a man such as you will be forever remembered. Though they may forget what you did and why, and they may mistake the minor parts played by others in the tale.

And then a few sentences later:

"But none shall forget your name," Gwenhwyfar said on a quiet, tear caught breath. "None shall forget the man who was the Pendragon. Arthur. My King."

Teaser Tuesday is host by Miz B at Should Be Reading. Head on over to find out all about it, and how to join in!

Just for fun, I thought I would share some of the covers for Shadow of the King, including the latest UK and US covers.

  7. These aren't the books I usually read, but I do love a series :) It's nice sometimes to have more books about people you get attached too after reading one book about them.

  23. Book Soulmates, no matter what cool ARCs I have there are still others that I would always be wanting, like Elizabeth Hoyt!

Kylie, this version of the Arthurian tales isn't really fantasy. It is more straight historical fiction.

Christina/Book Addict, I really enjoyed the whole trilogy.

Forgetfulone, it would be interesting to hear your class.

Kaye, it is interesting to have a look at the evolution of covers over the years.

Book Sake, the first book in the series is called The Kingmaking.

Audrey, I am a big series fan, as my last couple of TSS posts attest.

Lady Q, I waited a while to read the final book as well, and it was different to what I was expecting but it was good.

Beth F, another category would be series I would like to start reading that I don't own any of yet. How long would that list be! lol

Thanks to everyone for stopping by my TT post.
