Feel free to snag this new badge and use it to decorate your Library Loot posts.
Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
I have a lot of reloot this week in my Library Loot! I keep borrowing books that I really want to read, but then not getting to read them, so I borrow them again! These are the books that I am relooting:
Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris- next book in the Sookie Stackhouse series.
The Ice Cream Girls by Dorothy Koomson- I have really enjoyed reading Dorothy Koomson's books. Hopefully this time I will get to read it!
A Hollow Crown by Helen Hollick- I have actually already read this book but I just wanted to re familiarise a couple of sections.
Leviathan by Scott Westerfield- I wasn't sure whether to start with the Uglies series, but decided to go with this one for now.
Lament by Maggie Stiefvater- Heard such good things about this book.
And the new books that I borrowed are:
The Third Day, The Frost by John Marsden- The next book in the Tomorrow series of books.
Emma Vol 6 by Kaoru Mori- The next book in the Emma series of graphic novels set in Victorian England.
What loot did you get this week? Add your link to your Library Loot post so we can all come around and have a look!
yay! Thanks for choosing my design! That was one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteI have the Uglies series just waiting for me, and I am excited about it. I will be interested in hearing how Leviathan turns out for you. Also, another Alice book! It is great that you are reading your way through them!! Great loot this week! That Hollick book looks amazing as well.
ReplyDeleteRe-looting!!! LOL.. ha ha I do a lot of that too!! :D Thanks for sharing. Hope to post my loot as soon as I can.

I love the new badge! And I can't believe I still haven't read any of the Charlene Harris series!
ReplyDeleteThe new badge looks great :)
ReplyDeleteI have to reloot books often as well! Is Lament another book in the Shiver series? I've been thinking of giving it a try.
Ugh. If I don't get on the ball, I'm going to be relooting a bunch this month.
ReplyDeleteLove the new badge. I'll have to replace the old one on my page.
Re-looting! Yes, that is the perfect word for this. Many weeks my re-loot is more than the new loot. In fact, there will be one re-loot in my pile this week (which I still need to write the post for).
ReplyDeleteVery nice new badge!
I picked up Lament because I enjoyed Shiver, but I had quite a strong negative reaction to it. I'll be interested to read your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteAs usual, most of your titles are new to me! A Hollow Crown sounds familiar; I know I haven't read it, but I've definitely heard mention of it and thought it sounded like something I would like.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your loot!
Just wanted to say that just today I had one of my college students come up to me with a biography of...Amelia! I require them to read bios.
ReplyDeleteMy writing is fictional, but if you haven't read a biography lately of someone really significant...it can be fascinating.
Ah! I hope you enjoy Leviathan!
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think of The Ice Cream girls- I nearly picked this up instead of The Chocolate Run.
ReplyDeleteHow funny - I just received the Charlaine Harris books to review. :) I saw Leviathan at the WorldCon at Melbourne recently, but I'd never heard of it before...
ReplyDeleteThat's a nice new badge! I have used it for my first Library Loot post.
ReplyDeleteGood loot. Love the new button too. I'llhave to update my post later.
ReplyDeleteA nicely eclectic selection! Hollick is an author I definitely must try some day soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for leaving comments on my blog :-) I wanted to let you know I have now replied to them - a little belatedly but with great pleasure.
I'm not seeing the Mr. Linky at all. :( Here's the link to my Library Loot post: http://heidenkind.blogspot.com/2010/09/library-loot.html
ReplyDeleteI often get "reloot" too, as I invariably check out more books and movies than I have time to read. You got a bunch of good books. my son and I really enjoyed Leviathan -- I am looking forward to seeing what you think. And my son got me that Charlaine Harris novel for my birthday. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou SHOULD read Leviathan! I'm not a big fan of the Uglies series - I felt that was too YA, but the concept was brilliant! As for Leviathan, now that's the kind of YA I enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI didn't really like Dead in the Family. I thought it was kind of disappointing. :(
ReplyDeleteI want to read Lament, though...
Just discovered your Library Loot event through chaotic compendiums. Looks like you've got some good reading ahead of you!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done Library Loot in so long, but now is a great time. I love the new button. Thanks!
