Here are just a couple of my favourites.
@noxceptions: #gleesterchef 'Cause I'm a crepe. I'm a weird dough. What the hell am I doughing here? I donut belong here
@heath76: #gleesterchef It's A Long Way To The Shop If You Want A Sausage Roll
@pattypoopants #gleesterchef they tried to make me eat a kebab, I said no, no, no!
@AceRimmerAdel: Like a bat out of hell, I'll be gone when the Mornay comes #gleesterchef
If I was going to make an entry it would probably have been Peaches of You by The Last Goodnight, mainly because I always thought that was what they were saying anyway. I knew it wasn't right because it didn't make any sense, but still.
What reading all the #gleesterchef tweets did make me think of for this week's Weekend Cooking post was songs about food or that could be linked to food! Now I am sure that there are hundreds of songs I could pick from but I thought I would start with just a few. I might come back to this topic in future posts.
One of my favourites would have to be Raspberry Beret by
I am possibly showing my age here, because one of the first songs I thought of was Cherry Pie by Warrant:
Move forward a few years into the early 2000s and UK singer Craig David had a hit with Flava
And another song about Peaches, this time by Presidents of the United States. Now I like peaches, and other fruit a lot, but I am not sure I would ever actually write a song about them!
Do you have any fun ideas for #gleesterchef? Do you have some favourite foodie songs?
Weekend Cooking is hosted by Beth Fish Reads and is open to anyone who has any kind of food-related post to share: Book (novel, nonfiction) reviews, cookbook reviews, movie reviews, recipes, random thoughts, gadgets, fabulous quotations, photographs.
