Library Loot: February 8 to 14

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!

A Long, Long Way by Sebastian Barry - Someone somewhere is hosting a challenge where this is the book for next month. It also fits the War Through the Generations challenge so I am reading it for that.

The Long Shadow by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles - The next book in the Morland Dynasty series of books. I am not even sure what this one is about because there is no back cover or inside flap blurb!

The Weed that Strings the Hangman's Bag by Alan Bradley - The next book in the Flavia de Luce series.

The Fault in our Stars by John Green - I haven't actually read John Green before but I have heard lots of good things about his writing, and about this book in particular. I am expecting it to be a sob fest though, so not one for reading in public places!

What loot did you get this week? Share your link in Mr Linky below:

  2. I just bought The Fault of Our Stars last week, and my daughter confiscated it right away. I can't wait to read it! I also just got the first in the Bradley series on audio from the library. It sounds really intriguing. I hope you enjoy them!

  3. Very interesting variety - you won't know where to start! Seeing the John Green everywhere at present and the Sebastian Barry should be good. Happy reading!

  4. We always walk out of the library with a huge sack of books for the kids and seldom something for me. You've inspired me to put something on hold for me to pick up on next weeks library trip... If it's not on hold, there is no chance of me getting something! :P
