Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!
You may remember that last week I posted about the unwieldy new hold system at my library. Tonight when I was there to pick up more books, they had some feedback forms there to be completed about the system, and you can be sure that I left some! I was seriously tempted to see if I could see what other people had written on the forms but it would have been hard to do that surreptitiously!
Anyway, Claire has Mr Linky this week so be sure to head over and add your link so that we can all be a bit nosy and see what you borrowed.
Here are the books that I borrowed this week:
The Winter Mantle by Elizabeth Chadwick - The next book in my slow stroll through Elizabeth Chadwick's backlist.
A Red Herring Without Mustard by Alan Bradley - The next Flavia de Luce mystery.
The Witness by Nora Roberts - This is Nora Roberts 200th book - 200, can you believe that? And this book in particular seems to have been getting good reviews still as well! Amazing.
The Chevalier by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles - The next book in the Morland Dynasty series of books.
I just love Nora Roberts....I hope you enjoy Witness and your other loot!!!
ReplyDeleteI find Nora Roberts books are usually perfect Friday night reads - can start it on a Friday night and just keep reading until you are done!
DeleteOne of these days I'll start the Flavia de Luce series. Enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteI waited a long day to start that series, but I was glad that I finally got around to it!
DeleteI have The Falcons of Montabard, which I believe is the sequel, but yet to read The Winter Mantle so Falcon will have to stay on my shelf for something (a pity because it looks great). I'm always astounded by how many books Nora Roberts has written, power-writer or what!
ReplyDeleteThey all look great really!
DeleteI know, isn't La Nora amazing!
Nice selection - I wouldn't know which one to read first. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteYet another reminder that I need to start reading the Flavia de Luce series! I even have the first book here at home so I really should have no excuse. Enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read a Nora Roberts book in ages - but wow - 200 books!
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying CHE's Morland Dynasty :)
