Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries! For most people February 14 represents Valentine's Day. I prefer not to focus on my complete desert of a love life, but rather focus on my real passion - books! So for me, February 14 is
It does seem as though I have predominantly borrowed romance novels this week. Just the way it worked out really with lots of books that I had had on request coming through all at once.
Here's the loot I got this week:
Divided in Death by J D Robb - I haven't read a book in this series for a couple of years. There's no good reason for this as I do really enjoy the series. Hopefully this time I will read it!
Just One Taste by Louisa Edwards - The third book in the ....trilogy. Romance and food - love that mix!
Hostage to Pleasure by Nalini Singh - The Psy-Changeling seems to be the only paranormal romance series that I am still reading at the moment.
Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts - This standalone novel came out last year or the year before. Not sure why I haven't read it yet!
A Lady Awakened by Cecelia Grant - I have heard good things, particularly about the later books in this series, but I need to start at the beginning which is here.
Head over to Claire's blog to share your link to your Library Loot post, and
Happy Library Lover's Day everyone!
Great loot. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMy mom loves J.D. Robb, and insists that I need to read her books, but I haven't yet got to one. I am glad that you are reading this one, as it might give me a push when I read your review on it. Nice haul today!
ReplyDeleteHeather, I have quite a few reviews of JD Robb books on my blog.
DeleteChasing Fire is a really good book! I really enjoy Nora Roberts' stand alone novels that are like this one. I can't wait to see what you think of it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your loot!
I liked her last standalone book a lot more than I liked her last trilogy!
DeleteI feel like I've heard good things about Cecilia Grant but I can't remember who from. Might have to check her out for myself. Enjoy your loot!
ReplyDeleteshe's been getting a lot of good reviews in the romance community.
