Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Claire from The Captive Reader and Marg from The Adventures of an Intrepid Reader that encourages bloggers to share the books they’ve checked out from the library. If you’d like to participate, just write up your post-feel free to steal the button-and link it using the Mr. Linky any time during the week. And of course check out what other participants are getting from their libraries!Busy, busy week at work this week so not much time for preamble! Let's just get down to the loot straight away and not many books to talk about either! I do have some waiting to be picked up but I won't be getting to the library to pick them up until the weekend probably.
Here's what I picked up from the library this week:
The Autumn Bride by Anne Gracie - This is the start of a new series so I wanted to get in at the beginning!
The Stranger Prince by Margaret Irwin - I have been fascinated by Prince Rupert of the Rhine ever since I first heard about him. When this book was mentioned in a group I am in, I knew that I was going to have to try to get this book and luckily it was available via interlibrary loan (I have been going a bit crazy on the ILLs recently! Going to have to watch that!)

I've been looking into Margaret Irwin's books lately (since I've been browsing through the e-books offered by Bloomsbury Reader and they've reissued a number of her titles) but hadn't heard of this one yet. Sounds interesting. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have tried her before, but I do enjoy other HF books from that generation so I am sure it will be fine.
DeleteIt looks like you are scaling back on your library loot a bit! I am only requesting audios at the library now, because I know that I will never get the books read in time!
ReplyDeleteAppearances can be deceptive! I picked up 11 books yesterday! lol
DeleteI'm planning on getting my loot later today and posting this afternoon. I love the cover of The Stranger Prince. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThat's not actually the cover that I have but I couldn't find a decent size one of that!
DeleteMargaret Irwin was one of my favourite authors when I was growing up and I remember The Stranger Prince - my teenage self had a mad crush on Rupert of the Rhine. Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteI still have a bit of a crush on him!
DeleteI am overloaded with library books but am taking advantage of all the gorgeous stuff available!
ReplyDeleteIt is very easy to go a little bit library crazy!
