Welcome to this week's edition of Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's theme is Books I’d Gladly Throw Into the Ocean which was submitted by Beauty & Her Books. While I could name some books that have annoyed me, I am twisting the theme this week to be books with a water theme.
Light Between Oceans by M L Stedman
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
Sea Glass by Maria V Snyder - Must get back to this series this year!
The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See
The Winter Sea by Susanna Kearsley - Never miss an opportunity to mention this book.
The Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen - I think I heard that SAA is working on a new book, which is exciting!
The Lake House by Kate Morton
Lake in the Clouds by Sarah Donati - Not my favourite in this series, but still a good read!
The Lake of Dead Languages by Carol Goodman
Bila Yarrudhanggalangdhuray by Anita Heiss - This is a book that doesn't come out until next month but I read it last week and really enjoyed it. The title translates to River of Dreams
Hi Marg! Love your twist! The Ocean at the end of the lane was a brilliant read and The light between oceans broke my heart on so many different levels. Still loved it though.
ReplyDeleteI also twisted the prompt a bit! Ten Books I'd gladly throw into the ocean (for the mermaids to read)
Light Between Oceans was definitely a moving read Elza
DeleteI love seeing water and ocean themes on book covers!

Me too! But then again I am a water person by nature Lydia!
DeleteI’ve read the Morton, Gaiman and Steadman books. The Light Between the Oceans had me up past midnight reading to finish, very emotional book.
ReplyDeleteThanks for more great suggestions!
You are welcome Tina!
DeleteI love your twist on the topic so much that I almost did it myself! Ocean-themed books always appeal to me and I've read several of these.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I liked your twist too Susan!
DeleteElza Reads let me know we did very similar twists this week, but I love that we didn't even duplicate any books. ;) The Light Between the Oceans has been on my shelf for years. I really need to get to it. <3
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty more books that either of us could have chosen too Dedra!
DeleteGreat take on this week's topic! I have read the Carol Goodman book and have to say I've enjoyed several of her books. Some of these others are on my TBR!
ReplyDeleteI think there were a couple of other Goodman books that I could have chosen that fit the theme too Iliana!
DeleteI love books with a water theme. I like the look of that last one
ReplyDeleteIt was really good Greg, and is written from an indigenous perspective.
DeleteI've read a few of these and especially enjoyed The Light Between Oceans and The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
ReplyDeleteBoth good reads Les!
DeleteI love neil gaiman!
