I'm reading...
This week I finished reading Rogue Protocol by Martha Wells. These Murderbot books are really good and I will definitely be reading the next book in the next few weeks.
I decided to go back to a series that I started reading earlier this year and so I started reading The Life She Imagines by Maggie Christensen. This is the fifth book in the Granite Spring series which all feature older couples romance. I find them to be very enjoyable reads. I mean, I found love in my late 40s so it is nice to read others doing the same right.
I did manage to get to the library for the first time in months this weekend. I was only going to have a quick life at the shelves near the door, but it so happened that there were two books on the new releases shelf so I quickly nabbed them.
I am missing my library as well. It's such a great gift to readers!
ReplyDeleteI used to be a library addict Michelle, but these days I tend to be reading ebooks rather than physical books.
DeleteI have the Martha Wells books on my Kindle but haven't had a chance to read them yet. I've heard so many good things about them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThey are a lot of fun Kathy!
DeleteGlad you could see the kids. We're going back under more restrictions too. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteBFR, Over the last two weeks we were in lockdown, then we were out, we had a 0 cases day on Wednesday and then we were back in lockdown again on Thursday. It's crazy!
DeleteI am looking forward to actually going to the library soon! Browsing is such fun, and I always enjoy that new release shelf.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the lockdowns. I lived through all of 2020 in lockdown because of where I lived (senior residential facility), but now I live in my own apartment, so if there is a lockdown again, it won't feel as constrictive, IMO.
Enjoy your week, and here are my WEEKLY UPDATES
We are back in lockdown again now Laurel-Rain. It's hard to keep up.
DeleteI prefer romance with mature characters these days.
ReplyDeleteMy apologies to you and Victoria for the stupidity of the NSW government. I hope you are able to stop Delta in its tracks
Wishing you a great reading week
The stupid politics and game playing between the various state governments is doing my head in Shelley-rae.
DeleteI started going back into the library again after staying away for the past year and a half. It's great to browse the stacks again. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a browser. I am more of a pre order and dash in and pick up kind of library user.
DeleteI haven't seen a bit of the Olympics yet. I want to, but we do not have access to regular tv.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got into the library and picked up some books.
Me too, although I do have a ton of books on my ereader to read still Deb..
DeleteOoh I need to get back to the Murderbot series! Those are so amazing. I did watch some more sailing and it's interesting seeing the different rules/ boats.
ReplyDeleteThey are a ton of fun right Greg?
DeleteEveryone seems to be recommending the Murderbot series lately. I keep intending to start it and then I get distracted by something else. Soon!
ReplyDeleteI'm not into sports but I do like the Olympics. The time difference is really throwing us off this year though. We've managed to watch some gymnastics and swimming. Lots and lots of swimming. I do like it but I'm ready for different competitions now.
Enjoy your week!
Theh time differences are usually painful for us, so it is nice to have them in our time zone this time Jen.
