Welcome to this week's edition of Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week the
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones - Classic- My first book by this beloved fantasy author.
The Postcard from Italy by Angela Petch - Inspiring - We are now planning to visit the part of Italy that this book is set in.
The Christmas Party by Karen Swan - Engrossing - Read this one in a single sitting which is very rare for me now.
The Beautiful Words by Vanessa McCausland - Beautiful - Obviously taking inspiration here from the title but it does apply as a review too.
The Codebreakers by Alli Sinclair - Fascinating - a little known story from Australian WWII history.
Before the Coffee Gets Cold: Tales from the Café by Toshikazu Kawaguchi (translated by Geoffrey Trousselot - Time-travel - The second book set in a cafe in Tokyo
The Custard Tart Café by the Sea by Isabella May - Tasty - Just thinking about this book makes me want to eat custard tarts.
The Snowy Mountain Cattleman by Alissa Callen - Fab! - Already looking forward to the next book in this series.
Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens by Shankari Chandran - Unexpected - The saying don't judge a book by it's cover applies here. The cover looks kind of light and cutesy but it has so many deep topics inside the cover.
So there are the last ten books I have read!
It looks like you read some pretty amazing books recently.

ReplyDeleteThere are some nice ones there for sure!
Deleteinteresting! :-)
ReplyDeleteI really like Howl's Moving Castle and, of course, I read The Christmas Party because you had recommended the author! Several of these look really appealing, especially The Codebreakers, which you must have mentioned before because I have it on my TBR already. I am going to visit Bletchley Park next month, which is very exciting!
ReplyDeleteI am a bit jealous that you are going to Bletchley Park! We won't have time when we are in the UK!
DeleteYou did a great job with these, Marg! I haven't read any of the books on your post but want to read several of them. Codebreakers is on my TBR shelf as is Before the Coffee Gets Cold. And now you have me curious about Chai Time at Cinnamon Gardens.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to read some of them at least.
