Sunday Salon: Historical Fiction Reading Challenge July statistics

Each month I share the statistics for the previous month for the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. I always find it interesting to see what are the books that people are reading and reviewing! This month I have haven't had time to visit the reviews that have been shared. I will do better in the coming month.

In terms of the books, it was a good month in July for reviews with 71 reviews linked up for the challenge, shared by 21 participants. This is 7 less than for the same month last year.   There were 7 reviewers who reviewed 5 or more books each. Thank you to everyone who shared their links whether it be 7 or just 1.

There was just one book that was reviewed more than once this month and that was  The Spectacular by Fiona Davis which was reviewed by Becky at Becky's Reviews and by Laura at Reading Books Again.

There were 3 authors who had more than1 book reviewed. They were

Agatha Christie - Evil Under the Sun and They Do it With Mirrors were reviewed by Shellie @ Shellie Loves Books and Laura's Reviews respectively

Gabrielle Meyer - When the Day Comes and In This Moment were both reviewed by Barbara at Stray Thoughts

Lynne Cullen - Mrs Poe was reviewed by Alexis on Goodreads and The Woman with the Cure was reviewed by Becky from Becky's Reviews

It's not too late to join the 2023 Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. The sign up post is here, and you can find the August linky to add your reviews here.

I am looking forward to seeing what people share during August.

I am also sharing this post with Sunday Salon, hosted by Deb at Readerbuzz.

  1. The Spectacular by Fiona Davis is sure to be spectacular. Davis has become one of my favorite writers of historical fiction.

I haven't been a leading participant in the historical fiction challenge, but I have read a couple of books that I would not have otherwise read.

  4. I'm in the same boat as Cindy. I forget to link up, but I am reading historical fiction. I have yet to read anything by Fiona Davis, but I am sure I would enjoy her books if I did. One of these days! Have a great week!
