Sunday Salon: Historical Fiction Reading Challenge Statistics - February

Every month I share some of the statistics related to the Historical Fiction Reading Challenge. I try very hard to visit every post which has been linked (time permitting) and I find it interesting to see what are the books that people are reading and reviewing! I often end up adding a couple of books to my never ending TBR list.

In terms of the books read in February, there were 57 reviews linked up for the challenge, shared by 25 participants. There were 56 individual titles reviewed, written by 54 different authors. There were 6 reviewers who reviewed more than 4 books each, including me, which is very unusual! I am never at the top of the leaderboard. Thank you to everyone who shared their links whether it be 9 or just 1.

So which book was reviewed more than once in February?

It was The Secrets of the Rose by Nicola Cornick, which is a dual timeline story featuring English Jacobites. It was reviewed by Helen from She Reads Novels and I also reviewed it here.

The only author who had multiple titles reviewed this month was Agatha Christie with reviews shared by both Laura's Reviews and Shellie Loves Books. The three books reviewed were Five Little Pigs, Mrs McGinty's Dead and The Thirteen Problems.

I wonder what books will be featured next month!

If you love historical fiction and reading challenges, it isn't too late to join us! All the details can be found in the sign up post.

I am sharing this with Sunday Salon hosted at Readerbuzz

  2. I waited too long to get my two books in for February, so I went ahead and added them for March. If all goes well, I plan to read the whole Wolf Hall trilogy over the next few months. Such good historical fiction!

    1. They aren't as popular as they used to be but I do still like them when they are done well! Best one I read recently was A Santorini Secret by Rose Alexander.
